The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR) will start all the reception procedures for Lot 2 of the A0 North, so that, before December 1, this section can be put into circulation, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure said on Friday, Sorin Grindeanu.
“This lot (Lot 2 A0 North, no) is almost 20 km, although in parentheses it should be said, “thanks to the wisdom” of some gentlemen from the past, even if all the work is ready, they can be effectively used until probably the autumn of next year only 10 km… Because the subdivision made in the past did not lead to a normal situation. To make the connection from DN1 to DN2, i.e. up to the road leading to Buzau, which stops some kilometers – two before DN2.. . I will also tell you what we will do on that piece, so that we can also use those 10 km that are ready. Sometime next week the colleagues from CNAIR will start all the reception procedures, so that before December 1st we can put this lot of motorway and by the end of the year, with what you also saw on Wednesday on the south side of the A0 motorway, let’s get somewhere 43-44 km completed out of about 100 km. That’s a good thing, but we’re interested that those approx. The 2 km we were talking about earlier, which will take us to DN2, can be quickly implemented,” said Grindeanu, quoted by Agerpres.
The official mentioned that, regarding the remaining 2 km, the works could start in the spring of next year, depending on the weather conditions.
“Mr. Director Pistol (Cristian Pistol, general director of CNAIR, no) informed me that, in these weeks, until the end of the year, the PAC (Expenditure Hiring Proposal, no) and the PT (Technical Project) will be received , no) on that 2 km section, which belongs to Lot 3 and to another company, so that in the spring, when the weather permits, to start the execution directly on the first 2 km of Lot 3, to we can use the entire section 2 of this highway. Otherwise, we remain as careful as possible together with our colleagues from CNAIR, so that also on the southern lots, i.e. the entire Lot 2 and approximately 7 km from Lot 1, the one that goes to in DN4, the road to Călăraşi, can be put into circulation this year”, said Sorin Grindeanu.
The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, checked, on Friday, the status of the works on Lot 2 of the road investment objective Autostrada A0 Nord.
The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR) signed, on May 12, 2021, the contract with SA&PE Construct – Spedition UMB – Tehnostrade regarding the construction of Lot 2 of the Bucharest Ring Motorway.

The duration of the contract is 154 months, of which 12 months are the design period, 22 months are the works execution period and 120 months are the works guarantee period.
According to the authorities, the importance of this project results from the need to achieve continuity between the A1 Bucharest – Pitesti and the A2 Bucharest – Constanţa motorways, but also along the IX Pan European Corridor and the creation of a connection between the IV Pan European Corridor and the IX Pan European Corridor.
