Cătălin Botezatu is rewarded with awards and diplomas both in the country and abroad, his clothing creations being worn on the red carpet including by stars from overseas. He is invited to the most important fashion shows outside and because of this he declined offers for many productions.
In the exclusive interview granted to Playtech News, the famous designer Cătălin Botezatu told us with regret how he missed the chance to play alongside Maia Morgenstern in a film, but also under what conditions he would return to television.
Under what conditions would Cătălin Botezatu return to the small screen
Cătălin Botezatu has a full schedule and, cumulatively, spends more time abroad than in the country, but he never considered settling down elsewhere. Over time, he was the host of some successful shows on Antena 1, but also sworn in on Kanal D on “Bravo, ai stil”.
Aware of his notoriety, but also of the impact that his presence in a TV format has on the public, the main TV stations have made him generous offers.
“We received offers for all TV shows, from all channels; for certain shows that require effort I couldn’t, although it would have been a cool challenge. Maybe I’ll go to Love Island, I don’t know?! I’m kidding!”, said the designer.

Although he enjoys the challenges that reality show contestants receive, his health would not allow him to make such an effort. So he said “step”.
“It would have been a challenge, I was really thinking about these formats like Asia Express, I would have liked it, but I can’t. I can’t unless they give me a break every 2 days, no. Is beautiful. There are shows that I watch, because I have all kinds of friends there, all kinds of stars that I know, all kinds of mannequins or mannequins that I know, but I think I’m not for that anymore”, he added Cătălin Botezatu.
The famous designer explained, for Playtech Stiri, under what conditions he could return to the small screen:
“If I should be a host, as I did for years and years for Next Top Model, for Super Model and the list goes on, yes, but otherwise no, or on any jury”.

How Cătălin Botezatu missed the opportunity to act in a film with Maia Morgenstern
And not only the televisions wanted the fashion designer in their grids, but also the film producers wanted him in the cast, especially since Botezatu had supporting roles in several films, including “The Second Fall of Constantinople”.
Moreover, before building a successful career in fashion, Cătălin Botezatu wanted to be an actor and went to IATC, only that, at that time, there were few places and children of actors were privileged.
“I received offers for films, yes. I couldn’t. Filming during fashion weeks overlapped. Really beautiful movies. The worst part is that I couldn’t play with Maia Morgenstern in a movie. It would have been spectacular, but you never know.
I think that an offer will come back and then I would honor it with great love. I don’t have time, unfortunately, but from next year I said that I will take care of myself more and that means that maybe I will accept other offers”, Cătălin Botezatu also said for Playtech Știri.
