What you can visit in the cold season in Croatia

Around 30 centimeters of snow fall in the lakes in the cold season, but the temperatures that remain very low create the right environment for it not to melt and remain in perfect condition until February, the last month of winter.

Costs are much lower than in summer

Visiting hours of Plitvice Lakes are 08:00-15:00, during the cold season, the schedule being adjusted due to the shorter days. Visitors can also enjoy a boat ride here across the great Kozjak Lake, which you’ve surely heard of.

You must not miss the capital Zagreb
Accommodation services at Plitvice Lakes National Park are only available seasonally. In Croatia, however, there are many hotels and traditional houses that have rooms available for rent throughout the year. If you have decided to come to the area, you must not miss the capital Zagreb.
From the capital of Croatia to the paradise of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, you only have to drive for two hours. The roads you travel on are generally free, uncongested.
