A 16-year-old teenager, who was reported missing while fishing on Sunday, was brought to the surface, on Monday, by firefighters, he was found dead in the hydrotechnical installation at the base of the Zetea reservoir, the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations informed ( ISU) Harghita, according to Agerpres.
“This morning we were requested by the Harghita County Police Inspectorate to search for a 16-year-old young man, who disappeared in the hydrotechnical installation at the base of the Zetea reservoir. A fire crew from the Odorheiu Secuiesc Detachment went to the scene, with a complex first intervention and command vehicle and a pneumatic boat, which intervened to search for the person, using a light boat provided by the locals. At the same time, the team of divers from the Odorheiu Secuiesc Lifeguard Service was also requested for support. Following the searches, the young man was found and brought to the surface, but, unfortunately, he died”, the spokesperson of ISI Harghita, Major Alina Ciobotariu, told the media.
The Press Office of IPJ Harghita informed, on Monday morning, that on Sunday evening the policemen from Odorheiu Secuiesc were alerted that the minor, from the town of Izvoare, went fishing on the banks of the Târnava river below the Zetea dam and never returned home.
