Romania’s national football team has already qualified for EURO 2024, but today’s match with Switzerland, which will start at 21:45, has a special stake. The “Tricolori” have the chance to stay in the first place of Group I, if they don’t lose, and thus stay in the second-ranked urn, a very important detail at the draw, scheduled for December 2, in Hamburg.
How many spectators are expected in Romania – Switzerland
A table today’s meeting, at the National Arena, is therefore a huge one, because it increases our chances of getting past the group stage at the final tournament in Germany next summer, and the fans of the first national team felt it. In fact, many of Romania’s supporters no longer took into account the match in Felcsut, from Hungary, three days ago, and bought tickets for today’s match, convinced that only now will the “final” be played.
But now tonight’s meeting turns into an event to celebrate qualification after eight years at a new finals tournament and for the sixth time at a EURO. The organizers have announced that it will be sold out, so the atmosphere will also be one of a story.
Officials of the Romanian Football Federation announced that all tickets from Romania – Switzerland have been sold out. We are talking about an impressive number of tickets, 49,500. The total capacity of the arena is 55,635 seats, but certain areas in the stands must be left empty for security reasons.

What banner has already been raised on one of the lawns of the National Arena
The ultras of the lawn have also prepared, and an important detail has already come to light. Four hours before the start of the match, a banner was seen on one of the lawns of the National Arena that had already been installed and summarized the stakes of the evening. Colored in red, yellow and blue, the message is telling and leaves no room for comments: “Today we want history”.
And yes, it can be a historic evening for the Romanian national team. If we get at least a draw, we will finish these preliminaries without any defeat, but also in the first place of Group I.
Andra, the big surprise of the FRF. What awaits the fans at the stadium
The match at the National Arena is announced to be sold out. There will be more than 50,000 spectators who will want to celebrate with the players of our national team the sixth qualification to a final continental tournament.
Because it will be a celebration, the FRF officials have invited the famous Andra to sing the National Anthem of Romania, so a sensational moment is announced before the start of the game. In addition, as usual, the Fan Arena, which will cover an area of 10,000 square meters, will open at 18:45, three hours before the start of the game. There will be face-painting stations, where fans can change their look for the match, as well as many games available to them, such as: the new FC24 game on Playstation, 180-degree photo, photo booth, billiards and darts with the ball soccer, foosball and robokeeper, where fans will be able to test their 11-yard shots against an automated goalkeeper.
