The weather is changing across the country and the NMA is announcing strange weather in December 2023. Read on to find out what’s happening with the weather in the run-up to Christmas.
Today Code Yellow for bad weather, until 11:00
In the early hours of this morning, the ANM issued a new Yellow Code by which the residents of Hunedoara county are warned of changes in the weather during this day.

The announced phenomenon is “local fog causing visibility to drop below 200 m, isolated below 50 m.” within the county, near several localities here. On the other hand, on November 20, the weather forecast for the next period was also published, and according to it, strange weather phenomena are announced in December 2023.
The ANM forecast announces thermal changes
During yesterday, November 20, and this morning, the weather forecasts regarding the thermal values and precipitation until the end of November and for the first part of December were published, and according to the predicted data, strange weather phenomena will appear in December 2023.

For the next two weeks, ANM announces that in Banat, Crisana, Maramureșt and Transylvania, the maximums will not exceed 14 degrees at most, and the minimums will be between 2 and 6 degrees, and from the point of view of precipitation,More frequent rains will be between November 21-22, but the probability of precipitation will also increase after November 26.”
In Moldova, Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrogea, during the next 2 weeks, ANM announces strange weather phenomena, and the maximum temperature values will not exceed 13 degrees, and the minimums will be between 4-6 degrees during the mornings, and during the night they will drops to -3 degrees. The rainfall forecast for these areas shows that there are ”The chance of rain will be higher around November 22 and towards the end of the reference window.”
Strange weather phenomena in December 2023
Regarding the period of the next 4 weeks, ANM specifies that, although we are in December, the temperatures will be higher between November 20 and 27, and the amount of precipitation during this period will have a “locally excess in the southwestern, northern regions, as well as in the extreme east of the country, and in the rest it will be generally close to normal for this range.”
Starting from November 17, says ANM, there will be a change, so we are talking about strange weather phenomena in December 2023, and between November 27 and December 4, “Average temperatures will be lower than normal for this period“, says ANM.
