Chef Nicolai Tand, the famous chef of the Antena 1 station, invested his money in a superb guesthouse, with 7 rooms, in Rozavlea, Maramureș, where he also gave a helping hand, with the hard work:
“I used to have a concrete fence, made by my father, but I changed it to one of woven sticks, although everyone asked me why I do this. This is, in fact, Maramures.
I try to preserve the places, as we received them from our elders, for the tourists to come for the wood, for the fabrics, for the traditions. The boarding house floors are laid by me, I’m just a carpenter’s son! It is actually a holiday home, a beautiful location, where others come to hang out, with a beautiful yard, they can come with dogs and small children. It is not at all expensive here. The wife takes care of Casa Tand in Maramureș”, Nicolai Tand told us in a recent interview for Playtech News.

How much does it cost to stay at Nicolai Tand’s guesthouse, in Maramureș, for Christmas and New Year’s Eve
If, during the year, the price of a room, in this little corner of Heaven, in Maramureș, managed by the Tand couple, costs 150 lei for one night’s accommodation, on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, tourists were attracted with an offer package, in which includes accommodation and meals for two, plus the party. Seats sold out quickly, currently no seats available:
“You called too late, we don’t have any vacancies anymore, since about September everything is occupied. But it is also very beautiful here, there are many tourists who come back with love, for the traditions, we have beautiful decorations, the carolers also come, we have an artistic program.
For Christmas accommodation, meals and party, we have a package of 1,600 lei for one person. For a room for two people it costs 3,200 lei for the entire Christmas period, a few nights. The owner Nicolai Tand will not be at the boarding house, for the Holidays, he will go with his family, his wife and their two children, on a vacation”, the employees of the boarding house told us, exclusively for Playtech News.

It is no wonder that there are no more free places for the Holidays in the three-star guesthouse of Nicolai Tand, the star of Antena 1. Tourists, most of them foreigners, left laudatory messages on the Internet after their stay in this little corner of heaven, where traditions blend harmoniously with modernity:

How much does it cost to spend Christmas at Grig Chiroiu’s guesthouse, in Olănești
And Grig Chiroiu, who became famous with the series “Trăsniții” (Prima TV), owns a guesthouse, “Noel”, in Olănești. Compared to his colleague from the guild, Nicolai Tand, there are still free places at Grig, for the Holidays, plus, on the tourism websites, he also announced generous discounts of 19%:
“We have a package, for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, accommodation, breakfast and festive meal, for each period, for three nights. It costs, for one person, 835 lei, and for a couple it costs 1,670 lei, the whole stay.
The rest of the meals, lunch and dinner are paid for separately, depending on what everyone wants to order”, the employees of the “Noel” boarding house, the business of TV star Grig Chiroiu, told us.
The actor Grig Chiroiu mentioned to us, a few months ago, that, in 2023, he had to increase the price of the rooms by 20%, in order to be able to withstand in the field of HORECA, so tried, during the Covid-19 pandemic, but also now, when inflation puts many Romanians’ businesses on hold. However, now, in November, Grig has announced discounts of 19%, the cost of a room being 300 lei for one night’s accommodation.

What marks did the tourists give to the four-star guesthouse in Olănești: “Papanașii, delicious!”
Tourists gave this guesthouse very high marks, all above 9, for staff, cleanliness, food and comfort. Many of them left nice messages after spending their holidays here:
“The guesthouse is close to the lake with water lilies, Aqua Park Tisa. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is very quiet” or “The cleanliness, the ambiance, the excellent, quantitative, qualitative and diversified breakfast…. Papanas, delicious!”.
Nicolai Tand and Grig Chiroiu invested their money from television in these two guesthouses, which provide them with a permanent income. In addition, it also gives them immense satisfaction that the tourists are satisfied with their efforts.
