Netflix brings Hades, Braid and Death’s Door to mobile devices. More games based on the company’s series and movies are also in the works.
Netflix now has over 80 games that subscribers can play at no extra cost on iOS and Android (and TVs and desktops, in some cases). As part of its Geeked Week event, the company revealed several titles that are on their way to the streaming service, including some indie classics.
What you can play on Netflix
Hades, one of the best games of 2020, will soon be available for Netflix subscribers on iOS, but not on Android for now. It’s a rogue-lite dungeon crawler. You will play as Zagreus, a prince. Whenever he dies (which will likely be often from the beginning), he will return to the beginning. It’s different every time you play, but you’ll gain knowledge – and some weapons and abilities – from run to run.
Hugo Award-winning Hades also has a rich cast of characters. It’s a real hit and you might find yourself immersed in it for hundreds of hours.

Games in development
Braid is also on its way to iOS and Android for Netflix users. The long-delayed anniversary edition of Braid features enhanced audio, hand-painted visuals, fresh animations “and a whole new world of puzzles to solve.” There will also be over 15 hours of commentary looking at game design, programming and other aspects of development. Braid creator Jonathan Blow has revealed that the new edition of Braid is coming to Netflix Games, Windows, PlayStation and Xbox on April 30.
Death’s Door was one of the standout indie games of 2021, and the Zelda-style adventure title will soon be a mobile exclusive for Netflix subscribers. You control a bird tasked with collecting souls for the Reaping Commission Headquarters, a bureaucratic entity from the afterlife.
Additionally, Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold, which takes place between the first two seasons of the series, is now available on the streaming platform. Moreover, a game based on one of Netflix’s biggest hits is also coming soon. In Money Heist, you will be able to take part in a version of the heist from the original series of the franchise. Netflix says the game will arrive alongside spin-off series Berlin.
